My main interest is in the natural environment. Norfolk is a landscape characterised by water, big skies and magnificent light. It is constantly changing.

One inspiration for me is the great forces acting upon the coastline to cause erosion by sea and by weather. This is a theme I keep returning to in my work.

But water in all its forms is a great inspiration for me; It is something to do with the interplay of light, reflections, movement and structures which create transient abstract qualities. I try to capture these fleeting moments by adopting a semi-abstract approach in my paintings.
